Results:

The Board has set targets to achieve a 20% reduction in building-related GHG emissions by 2019/20 (relative to 2005/06).

Year GHG Emissions (metric tonnes):

  • 2014-2015 | 200,697
  • 2015-2016 | 197,524
  • 2016-2017 | 194,401
  • 2017-2018 | 191,327
  • 2018-2019 | 188,303
  • 2019-2020 | 195,325

The CARMA monitoring system will serve as a powerful tool to strategically target higher consumption buildings and ensure the Board is able to meet their Emission Goals. The Board is currently ahead of schedule in terms of meeting the targets to bring about a 20% reduction in GHG emissions by 2020.
